Elizabeth Giorgi, Web Communications Manager at the University of Minnesota
Elizabeth Giorgi is the web communications manager for the University of Minnesota News Service.
She develops strategies for web site content and distribution, as well as manages www.umn.edu/news She heads many of the social media efforts including the UMN YouTube Channel, which has been mentioned in the Wall Street Journal and US World and News Report for its excellence in both video production and overall strategy. Giorgi’s philosophy on social media is to integrate social messaging as closely as possible to the overall public relations efforts for the University.
Giorgi also does video production and animation work to help bring difficult research topics to life. She lives in Minneapolis and enjoys working for a large public research institution in an urban environment.
