Description

  • Develops, executes, and manages successful, integrated web content strategies that advance the visibility and reputation of Converse College across all online platforms, with priority oversight of www.converse.edu
  • Develops comprehensive online goals and strategies for www.converse.edu, including needs assessment, planning, design, implementation, audience engagement, and life-cycle management
  • Creates engaging online content with focus on storytelling through mashups of imagery, writing, video and photography
  • Cultivates a collaborative approach to and shared vision for www.converse.edu by partnering with campus departments to develop goals for, create content for, and maintain their areas of the Website
  • Regularly analyzes and reports effectiveness of online communications via Google Analytics and other metrics, implements optimizations based on findings
  • Helps conceptualize and create an engaging Converse presence beyond www.converse.edu, including social media sites and other online channels serving external audiences
  • Collaborates with Communications colleagues to insure consistent branding and messaging across all channels

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 5 years of experience in online communications, with a portfolio that includes content strategy, information architecture, content development, assessment and implementation, and proven effectiveness
  • Excellent written, verbal, visual and multimedia communications skills
  • Hands-on experience building, managing and growing websites for medium or large organizations (higher education experience preferred) using a content management system, preferably Wordpress
  • Current knowledge of key concepts, best practices, and procedures in digital communications
  • Ability to effectively manage large-scale projects, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
