Measurement Plan & Metrics Wishlist
It’s impossible to create a sound measurement process without clear measurement strategic planning.
So, this is exactly what you are going to do for your first assignment this week.
This assignment counts for 10% of your final grade and this assignment rubric (pdf) will be used to grade it.
Reviewing this week’s short video lessons, your answers to this week’s brainstorming class discussion and the feedback you received from your classmates, create the final outline of your measurement plan for your instructor to assess.
Your 1- to 2-page measurement plan should include the following components:
- Institutional or business goal(s) you are trying to support with your work
- Departmental objective(s) – make sure to explain what makes your objective(s) SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely)
- Macro conversion(s) and micro conversion(s) – remember that micro conversions can help track progress toward a lagging, bigger macro conversion.
- 1 to 4 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to help you measure your departmental SMART objective(s) along with their respective targets
- A completed “Metrics Wishlist” table formatted to follow this structure:
- A list of any constraints, challenges and risks (set up, permissions, privacy concerns, governance, etc.) you need to address to implement your measurement process along with possible solutions you’ve identified.
Save your assignment as a PDF document using the following file name format: wk1_firstname_lastname (for John Doe, wk1_john_doe.pdf) and submit it by Sunday 11:59PM ET as a comment.
