The conference presented me with a wealth of knowledge that I can start to think about implementing. It’s given me the confidence to not be overwhelmed and to start to learn more.
I found the course tremendously valuable. Obviously I learned new techniques to more fully utilize Google Analytics, but the course is much more than a practical “how-to” guide. The focus on KPIs and their connection to an institution’s goals and objectives was the most enlightening. This focus aided me in developing a strategic mindset with regards to the use of web analytics.
The brainstorming session especially were a fantastic way to immediately pause and generate my own ideas for my institution. For anyone that manages social media in higher education, and especially for those who have this sole responsibility, the Higher Education Social Media Conference lends great insight into what is happening in the industry now and what others have experimented and found success with.
The conference was interesting, very informational and did not lag (the breaks were well-placed). I learned a lot about how other institutions handle the same difficulties, making my team and I feel better about where we are and what we’ve done in the social media arena.
