Mary Beth Kurilko, Communications Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University
Mary Beth Kurilko is known on Twitter as “girlmeetsweb” and is an adjunct communications professor at Philadelphia University.
From 2006-2009, she was the Director of Web Communications at Temple University in Philadelphia. As brand manager and editor-in-chief of Temple’s web presence, she provided web marketing and communications direction across the University. One of her most important roles was developing and facilitating “training the trainer” sessions on usability, web writing and overall best practices. Mary Beth also managed myowlspace.com, Temple’s new (launched July 2007) website for alumni with message boards, chat, blogs, career mentoring and professional networking.
Before becoming Web Communications Director, Mary Beth was an Associate Director in Temple’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions, where she developed an e-communications strategy, launched a new admissions website and managed the print and direct mail recruitment plan.
