Ben Riseling, Manager of Web Operations for the Office of News & Communications at Duke University, will make sure your survive your next website redesign coupled with a CMS implementation. He will share the best tips and tricks he acquired during the 9-month process preceding the launch of the new duke.edu powered by the open source CMS, Drupal, in October 2009.

Chas Grundy, Director of Interactive Marketing for AgencyND – a marketing agency within the University of Notre Dame, will explain how his team manages website redesigns for different departments and offices as well as for the university homepage. He will share best practices and lessons learned as well as his own recipe for sucessful web redesigns and happy stakeholders.

- How to handle the project planning and communication to stakeholders

In 2007 Stewart founded eduStyle to provide inspiration to campus web designers. Since then he spends a lot of his days watching the latest trends in higher ed web design. He’s been working to spread awareness of best practices and draw attention to high quality web design in higher ed. He has co-written the book “The eduStyle Guide to Higher-Ed Homepage Design.”
Ben Riseling, Web Operations Manager – Duke University
Ben Riseling has been the manager of web operations for the office of news & communications at Duke University since 2002. His duties include the oversight of the main Duke.edu website and a series of online publications while also coordinating a web community forum for all university departments.
Chas Grundy, Director of Interactive Marketing – Notre-Dame
Chas Grundy is the Director of Interactive Marketing for AgencyND – a marketing agency within the University of Notre Dame. As a web marketer, social media advocate, and former developer, he has seen the best and worst of what technology can do for higher education. Chas has worked on hundreds of web projects in and out of higher ed.
