As a person who did not receive any formal training in web design, I found this course both easy to understand and challenging. I walked away with more knowledge about design, from a technical standpoint, than I originally thought. I strongly recommend designers register for this course – even if it is just to have an understanding of what responsive design is about.
The course on Responsive Web Design was an in depth look into the theories and practice of Responsive design. The readings, assignments, and video tutorials delivered a solid foundation of the concepts. I am confident that the course will save me a great deal of time in the future as I move to designing responsive web pages.
I highly recommend this course. The discussion component allows you to network with other higher ed web developers with similar interests, namely responsive web design. And the assignments challenge you to take a stab at converting your college web design into a responsive design.
Before I took this course, I was definitely intimidated by Responsive Web Design. I had read various articles about it, but still didn't know how to tackle it with best practices. I'm now leaving this course fully confident that I'll be able to incorporate what I've learned in our college's responsive web strategy as well as other projects. The course is well structured and moves at a good pace for learning. I love how you actually get to work on your own website for the assignments. I would highly recommend it for anyone that's about to embark on Responsive Web Design.
I feel good about what I learned and what I was able to accomplish. The class was challenging and I appreciate that. Too often with some courses/trainings the content is minimal and the focus seems more on knowing that everyone is busy and just want to gain some more professional development for salary purposes. This class was focused on the student learning the content AND earning the professional development.
This course really helped me understand better what Responsive Web Design was all about. The readings and videos were of great help, and the assignments added a hands-on aspect that allowed the provided written material to take a concrete form. Great formula!
I would recommend this type of training to all co-workers and advise them that time allowance for the training is a must.
Although there is a lot of information to cover and absorb, this class will kick-start your knowledge of responsive web design and give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty by applying what you've learned.
This course provided a ton of useful resources, case studies, and practical tools. It was more intense than I expected, and that is a great thing! You have to do the work to get these kind of great results. A course that makes you feel worthy of a certificate at the end!
