Matt is the Director of Web Communication at Florida International University. He has more than twelve years of Web experience with nine years in higher education. Matt has survived and managed several website redesigns including FIU latest redesign launched in March 2010.
Nick DeNardis, Associate Director Web Communications – Wayne State University
Nick is the Associate Director of Web Communications at Wayne State University. As host of the video blog, EDU Checkup, he reviews higher education websites from the point of view of a first time visitor, while critiquing the design, information architecture and code of the sites.
Seth Meranda, Assistant Director for Interactive Media – Office of Admissions, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Seth Meranda, oversees the interactive marketing and development of recruitment focused technologies for the Office of Admissions. Seth also contributes to the UNL web developer network, a close group of designers and developers from across the UNL campus who are devoted to advancing the University’s web presence. The team collaborated in 2006 to create a fresh, campus-wide website overhaul and continues to support the design by developing standards-based enhancements in the form of database applications, interfaces and analytical strategies.
Nancy Prater, Web Coordinator – Ball State University
At Ball State University, a mid-size institution in Muncie, Indiana, Prater provides leadership in the conceptualization, coordination, and creative development of externally oriented portions of the web site.
In October 2007, Ball State re-launched its Web site and implemented a new web content management system. The project was an 18-month endeavor that included participants from all over campus, as well as vendors and consultants.
Tonya Price, Director of Marketing and Web Operations – Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Tonya Price has been managing Web sites since 1995 when she was Director of Customer Service for UltraNet Communications, an early Internet Service Provider. At WPI, Tonya is managing a 45,000 page site which utilizes the Customer Management System (RedDot – Open Text).
When she arrived at WPI many in the community refused to use the CMS system. A year and a half later, the CMS is well supported and customer satisfaction surveys show a superior satisfaction rate with the system.
Ben Riseling, Web Operations Manager – Duke University
Ben Riseling has been the manager of web operations for the office of news & communications at Duke University since 2002. His duties include the oversight of the main Duke.edu website and a series of online publications while also coordinating a web community forum for all university departments.
Chas Grundy, Director of Interactive Marketing – Notre-Dame
Chas Grundy is the Director of Interactive Marketing for AgencyND – a marketing agency within the University of Notre Dame. As a web marketer, social media advocate, and former developer, he has seen the best and worst of what technology can do for higher education. Chas has worked on hundreds of web projects in and out of higher ed.
