I had a positive, informative experience at the Higher Ed Social Media Conference. It’s great to hear what other colleges and universities are doing!
I enjoyed having a number of speakers give short talks, and it was interesting to hear how my counterparts across the higher ed industry utilize Google Analytics. I would attend the conference again!
Though some sessions weren’t particularly relevant to me, this conference did what any successful professional conference does: got the juices flowing. The speakers gave me resources to look up, ways to experiment, platforms to investigate, and—most importantly—inspired new ideas of my own that I can implement immediately.
If you’re involved in web analytics at your institution this course is a must. It goes beyond the basics to teach you about Universal Analytics, Google Tag Manager and other great custom report features that can make your data collection more effective.
The instructor is knowledgeable and very helpful when you have questions. Other students taking the course allow for some great networking opportunities and each assignment builds on the next culminating in the final project. I’ll be able to expand on my final project to make our site analytics more useful and our marketing more effective.
