I really enjoyed the pace and variety of topics covered. It’s sometimes a bit daunting trying to keep up with all the new tools, and this broke it down into language that was immediately easy to understand.
The 4-week course ‘Web Analytics for Higher Ed’ taught me the basics of setting up KPIs, tracking codes, goals, funnels, campaigns, segments and dashboards. As a marketing executive, it was an excellent format to fit into my busy schedule and to exchange ideas with colleagues.
Overall this was a great conference to attend with social media collaborators on my campus. I left with a list of small and big ideas to implement and explore, both within my own unit and in collaboration with others.
The course gave me an excellent introduction to Google Analytics that is helping me focus on more informative data about our website usage. It directed me to think about what I need to know about our audience and how they use our website and from there how Google Analytics can provide those insights.
