This course took a program with a rather intimidating interface and made it easier for me to understand what I was seeing. I am now able to look past the interface and dive into the analysis of the data without hesitation.
This was unique and very informative opportunity to hear what my peers at other universities are thinking and doing in this arena. I learned a few new things, and validated many of our thoughts and ideas here about social media and higher ed.
Boise State had a room of approximately 30-40 people attending the 2015 Higher Ed Analytics Conference.
The feedback was fantastic. People really enjoyed the fast-moving format and interesting topics and speakers. 100% of our survey respondents said they learned something that they could use in their job.
I would recommend the course, but make sure you have adequate time to devote to it. I unfortunately did not end up having that and it detracted from the positive experience of the course.
